Woman Robs Winchester Bank for Boyfriend

ffred-bank-robber-051210_20100512122239_320_240On May 11, 2010 Frederick County Deputies received information from several concerned citizens who provided information concerning the Bank of Clarke County robbery. With the information provided to investigators, they were able to develop a suspect in the case and obtain a DMV photo of the suspect. Loudon County Sheriff’s Office provided fingerprint analysis of forensic evidence obtained at the bank.

With the information developed, Frederick County authorities notified the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office that the suspect could be enroute to their County. The suspect appeared at the Shenandoah County Court Offices seeking to pay her boyfriends arrear child support. The suspect appeared with a large amount of cash in her possession at the J&D Court offices. The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office made contact and detained the suspect for Frederick County and FBI authorities.

Investigators conducted a search of the residence of 2958 Valley Avenue this evening. The suspect is identified as Crystal Marie Lowney of 2958 Valley Avenue, Winchester, VA. She is a white female, 5’2” tall, 105 pounds, with blonde hair, and blue eyes. She is 20 years old. She was arrested and charged with robbery, and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The money was recovered.

The saying “None of us is as strong as all of us”, was very true today. With the help of the citizens of Frederick County and the joint law enforcement effort of Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia State Police, and FBI, the arrest of the suspect happened quickly.
