Triple Fatality Auto Accident on I-95 South Bound in Stafford

141.6mm_thumbOn Monday, August 27, 2010 at 6:18 a.m., Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to an auto accident at the 141.6 mile marker on South Bound I-95. First arriving units reported a two-vehicle accident; one vehicle was overturned down an embankment with the occupants trapped inside. Crews stabilized the overturned vehicle and confirmed three occupants were trapped inside. Unfortunately, all of the trapped occupants succumbed to their injuries. Units evaluated four other patients’ from the second vehicle who denied injury. The Virginia State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
