Traffic on Route 7 and Route 28 Stopped Because of Suicidal Pedestrian

On Saturday September 18th at approximately 5:00PM Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a suicidal 55-year-old adult male who had left his residence on foot.

While searching the Sterling area the agency received reports of a subject who was sitting on the barrier wall of the Route 7/Route 28 overpass. Traffic was stopped on eastbound Route 7 and northbound Route 28. Deputies began conversing with the subject who later willingly stepped away from the wall.

The unidentified subject was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
