Town of Purcellville Plans “Rock the Field”
The Town of Purcellville and the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will once again be offering their free rock music event, “Rock the Field”, on September 12, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. “Rock the Field” will feature the classic rock groups GSL, Ivy Rose, Not My Finest Hour, The Immortals and Canus Cibus. This free event will be held at Fireman’s Field located at 250 South Nursery Avenue, Purcellville, in the gazebo area behind the stadium.
A rock wall, moon bounce and slide, temporary tattoos, face painting and games will also be available at no charge that day. Food and drinks will be available for sale from Tropical Smoothie, and Papa John’s Pizza served as a fundraiser by the Purcellville Skate Park Project.
Free door prize drawings will take place throughout the day – the grand prize will be an Ipod Touch.
“Rock the Field” is also sponsored by Dominion Power and The Robey Foundation. Sound is being provided by OHM Productions.
