Shots fired in Leesburg
A helicopter hovered overhead, streets were blocked and police officers ran through downtown Leesburg with rifles after an armed robbery just before noon July 10.
The robber fired a shot at The Other Kind of Jewelry Store, 120-B E. Market St. in Leesburg, in a situation that quickly escalated into a police chase, during which he fired another shot.
