Shooting in Reston Leaves One Man Dead

Fairfax County Police responded to the 1500 block of Cameron Crescent Drive on Monday, December 12 around 4:15 p.m. for a reported of a shooting. Upon arrival police say they discovered an adult male with trauma to the upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are investigating reports that three suspects were involved. While the exact nature of the relationship between the suspects and the victim is still under investigation, police do not believe that there is a threat to the public’s safety.

This is the ninth homicide in Fairfax County for 2011.
