Seven Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Recruits Graduate
Seven Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office correctional recruits graduated Thursday, November 17, 2011, from the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy.
The members of the graduating class for Jail Officer Basic #158 are James M. Blackburn, Jr., Michael D. Clarke, Andre T. Johnson, Thomas L. Lancaster III, Tyrone L. Lewis, Stacy H. Poston, Jr., and Donald E. Wilhelm, Jr.
Deputy Johnson received the Ricky L. Timbrook Award, named in honor of the fallen Winchester Police Department Officer. The award goes to the recruit who personifies the highest standards. Deputy Lewis received the top skills award.
The new correctional deputies will begin a four-week in-house training program at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center (ADC). The state-of-the-art facility opened in the summer of 2007 and houses maximum, medium and minimum security level inmates.
The Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy is a Virginia regional training academy which trains basic and veteran law enforcement officers, correctional officers and communications officers for more than sixty agencies.
