Richmond Suspect Charged in Tameka Claiborne Homicide

michael-solomanPolice today filed a charge of child abduction against Michael Solomon, 28, the primary suspect in the murder of Tameka Claiborne. Investigators say Solomon abducted then abandoned Claiborne’s son, Malik Ellison, 2, last Tuesday.

Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues. Solomon remains in the Richmond City Jail.

Richmond Police have filed charges against another man, Alphonzo Richardson, 32, 2500 block of County Drive, Petersburg in connection with the Claiborne case. He has been charged with unlawful disposal of a body, a felony; and accessory after the fact to murder, a misdemeanor. Richardson was arrested over the weekend and is lodged in the Richmond City Jail.

Solomon’s vehicle, recovered Saturday in Hopewell, has provided valuable evidence in the case.
