Today’s Good News in Richmond Va – October 9 – 12, 2009
Third Precinct Commander William Smith and Lt. Michael Zohab were patrolling Westover Hills Boulevard when they encountered two individuals acting suspiciously.  They exited their vehicle to investigate and were able to recover a loaded concealed firearm from one individual and identified the other individual as a known gang member.

CRIMES AGAINST PERSONS October 9 – 12, 2009

Robbery: 10/9/09 11:15 a.m. 3400 block of Chamberlayne Avenue
A male reported he was assaulted and robbed by a known male. An arrest was made.

Robbery 10/9/09 4:13 p.m. 1157 Azalea Ave.
Employees reported an unknown male robbed the business.

Death Investigation 10/9/09 4:54 p.m. 1100 Grove Ave.
A male was found unresponsive at the above address. He was taken to VCU Medical Center, where he later died.

ABDUCTION
10/10/09 9:10 a.m. 1013 Arizona Drive
A teenage female was held against her will by a known male with a gun. An arrest was made.

Robbery 10/10/09  7:40 p.m. 900 block of Chamberlayne Avenue
A female reported she was robbed by an unknown male.

PROPERTY CRIME October 9 – 12, 2009

BURGLARY 10/11/09 11:20 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. 3200 Lawson St.
An unknown person broke in and stole electronic equipment.

BURGLARY 10/10/09 – 10/11/09 8:00 p.m. – 12:45 a.m.  507 W. Grace St.
An unknown person entered the residence and stole an iPod, a wallet and a laptop computer.
