Police Seek Information About Sexual Assault on 18th Street, SE

(Washington, DC)- Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in reference to a sexual assault which occurred in the 1900 block of 18th Street, Southeast. 

On Thursday, July 12, 2012, a victim reported that she was walking in the 1900 block of 18th Street, Southeast, Washington D.C., at approximately 4:50 am, when she was approached by a male subject who produced a handgun demanding money.  The complainant complied with the subject’s demand for money and the male suspect then sexually assaulted the victim. Afterwards, the suspect walked the victim to a nearby ATM machine and forced her to withdraw cash.  The subject was last seen walking east in the 1300 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast. 

The suspect is described as a black male, with a medium complexion, 25-30 years old, 6’2”, slim build with dreadlocks in his hair and was armed with a black handgun.
