Police Respond to Stolen Vehicle and Discover Mobile Meth Lab
At around 12:06 AM, the Leesburg Police received an alert from On-Star for a reported stolen vehicle from Indiana in the area of Clubhouse Drive in Leesburg. Patrol units responded and located the vehicle and a male and female associated with the vehicle. Officers looked through the vehicle windows and observed items that indicated a possible methamphetamine lab and also detected a noxious odor. The vehicle and surrounding area was secured and Haz Mat specialists responded and rendered all items safe.
A subsequent search of an apartment associated with the occupants of the vehicle was conducted and suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was located inside the apartment. Two subjects are in custody and the investigation is continuing by the Leesburg Police Department and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit.
Members of the Fairfax County Fire Department Hazardous Materials Response Team and Special Agents with the Virginia State Police assisted with the investigation.
