New High School Ground Breaking in Berryville

The Clarke County community is coming together this Saturday, July 24, 2010 to celebrate the construction of the new Clarke County High School.

Please help us spread the word and if you’re in town this Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. please join us to show your support.

There will be student leaders as speakers, CCHS football players and cheerleaders, and the CCHS Eagle mascot, among others!

There will also be free commemorative tee-shirts for the first 250 attendees, ice cream, cookies, bottle water and balloons!  There will even be a shovel decorating contest!

The “First Shovel” will be orchestrated by Michaela Rohde, representing the first graduating class of the new high school.
Everyone is encouraged to bring your own shovel (BYOS) to help start the digging!

The ground breaking will take place across from D. G. Cooley Elementary School at the new high school site (Corner of Westwood Road and Business 7.  Look for the white tents and the big yellow equipment!

Ample parking will be provided at D.G. Cooley and at Clarke County High School.  Shuttle service will be available for those in need – please park in a handicapped parking space.

Come join in and help celebrate this long awaited event!
