Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at Leesburg Pike and Gorham Street
Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Wednesday, August 26. Officers responded to the intersection of Leesburg Pike and Gorham Street around 10:10 p.m. for a crash involving a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle and a 2008 Ford 150 pickup truck. An investigation determined the motorcycle, operated by a 25-year-old man, was traveling east on Leesburg Pike approaching Gorham Street. The driver of the pickup truck was north on Gorham Street making a left onto Leesburg Pike. The motorcycle struck the pickup truck and the motorcyclist, Christopher Hamilton, of 3800 Powell Lane #431 in Falls Church, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
Crash Reconstruction detectives continue their investigation to determine if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

I did not know Chris, but I watched him laying there on the ground with the police taking pictures of his body from my highrise apartment, that is directly over where the accident occured. I felt so sad and my deepest condolences to his family and friends. The next morning as I sat in my balcony with my coffee wathcing countless cars drive over the spot where he lay the night before as if it never happened, I realize how fleeting life really is. Can someone confirm that it is Chris (middle name Lord) Hamilton, that works as IT Engineer for Apex Systems, originally from NY? Thanks so much.
I am so deeply hurt by this accident. Chris I remember as a baby and my prayers go out to his immediate family. GOD will one day wipe every tear from your eyes..pain and death will be no more..God Bless
