Man faces DUI, other charges after car strikes pole

A Knoxville, Md., man was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, fleeing on foot and other offenses after the Mitsubishi 3000 GT he was driving in the 3000 block of Olive School Road went airborne Tuesday morning and struck a utility pole, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

The car also hit a cement culvert and caught fire, according to a police press release.

    I’m sure he could be charged with a whole host of things instead of DUI, perhaps: bad judgment; inability to think.
