Leesburg Today owner files for bankruptcy

American Community Newspapers Inc., which owns Loudoun Magazine, Leesburg Today and Middleburg Life among other publications, has filed for bankruptcy protection. “A difficult economic environment and weak advertising market have created a number of challenges for our industry and our company,” CEO Gene Carr said in a press release.
