Harrisonburg Police Investigate Female Death on Vine Street
Harrisonburg VA Sept. 17, 2010 – The Harrisonburg Police Department is investigating the death of a female that occurred in the 200 block of Vine Street.
Officers responded at 9:23 p.m. to the report of multiple shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers found a female in the parking lot, who was unresponsive.
Janet Bonilla, 25, of Harrisonburg was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators and officers are currently processing the crime scene, interviewing individuals in the area, and searching for evidence related to the crime.
The exact cause of death of Ms. Bonilla is pending an investigation by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
“This is a very tragic incident that has occurred,†said Lt. Kurt Boshart, Criminal Investigations Division Commander. “We are utilizing all possible resources to determine the motive and identify the individuals involved.â€
