Gas Station Robbery in the Springfield Area

A 24-year-old man was robbed while working on Saturday, February 13. Around 7:45 p.m., a man entered the convenience store of the Shell Gas Station, located at 5533 Backlick Road. He walked around the counter, brandished a handgun at the employee and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled out the front door. The victim did not require medical treatment.The suspect was described as black, 20 to 30 years old. He was between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall and weighed 250 to 300 pounds.
