Driver Killed on Jefferson Davis Highway in Chesterfield County
The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a crash that killed one man. The crash occurred in the 8800 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at about 12:30 a.m. December 05, 2009.
Police said a Volkswagen Jetta was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of Jefferson Davis Highway and struck a Lincoln Navigator SUV traveling northbound.
The driver of the Jetta died as a result of his injuries at VCU Medical Center. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the Navigator was transported to CJW Medical Center Chippenham Campus with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police continue their investigation into this crash.
