Diamond Robbery at the Sheraton Hotel on Leesburg Pike

gun-crimePolice are investigating a robbery that occurred around 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 17 in the parking lot of the Sheraton Hotel, 8661 Leesburg Pike.
A man was getting out of his vehicle in the hotel parking lot, when a sedan pulled up next to him and parked. In addition to the driver, there were two other men in the vehicle. One of the occupants got out, produced a gun and ordered the victim to lie on the ground. The victim, a diamond salesman, had multiple packets of diamonds in his possession which the suspects allegedly found and stole. After taking the diamonds, and other items, the suspects fled. There were no injuries.
The suspects were described as dark-skinned, wearing black clothing with ski masks or bandanas covering their faces, and were in their 20s. One suspect was approximately 6 feet 4 inches tall and thin. The other suspect was around 5 feet 9 inches tall.
