Daytime Burglary in Martinsburg
On Wednesday, December 16, 2009, officers from the Martinsburg Police Department responded to a residence on West Race Street in reference to a burglary that had occurred. Upon arrival, officers learned that the residence had been broken into and that items including jewelry had been taken. A witness also advised officers that a subject was observed fleeing the area of the residence.
On Thursday, December 17, 2009, officers conducted a search of the area and were able to locate various items of jewelry that were identified as being from the burglary. Further information was also obtained from witnesses that identified the suspect as being Clifford Lee Hutchinson, AKA: Clifford Lee Burke.
On Thursday, December 17, 2009, a warrant was obtained for Clifford Lee Hutchinson for Daytime Burglary. The warrant was issued by Berkeley County Magistrate Joan Bragg. As of the time of this press release, Mr. Hutchinson has not been apprehended.
