09/30/09 0930 hrs.-1935 hrs. 25100 block Cypres Mill Ter. Ashburn
Burglary: Unknown subject(s) entered a residence and removed a video game system, a computer, jewelry and cash. The case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
09/30/09 1128 hrs. 22800 block Courtland Park Dr. Ashburn
Suspicious Event: An unknown subject was observed by a resident driving slowly through the area and was carrying a device that he may have been using to remotely open garage doors. The driver was described as a White male, in his mid-30’s, with short blonde hair. The vehicle was described as an early 2000’s silver passenger car, possibly an Acura with Maryland tags.
10/01/09 1200 hrs. 40 block N. Reid St. Hamilton
Weapons Violation/Brandishing: Two subjects got into a verbal altercation. One of the subjects allegedly brandished a firearm. Deputies arrived on the scene and no firearm was located. Warrant procedures were explained to both parties.
10/01/09 1600 hrs. 43440 block Ridgeview Pl. Ashburn
Larceny: An unknown subject was observed riding a bicycle. The resident knew the bicycle belonged to a neighbor. The subject was described as thin Black male, wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. The area was checked and no subject was located.
10/01/09 0430 hrs. 1700 hrs. 40030 block Lovettsville Rd. Lovettsville
Burglary: Unknown subject(s) entered a residence and removed four firearms, numerous items of jewelry, and miscellaneous change. The case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
09/24/09-09/25/09 1400 hrs.-1700 hrs. 600 block N. Fillmore Ave. Sterling
Burglary: A resident reported finding several items of jewelry missing on October 1, 2009. They reported finding a backdoor of their home unsecured last week. It is unclear when the incident took place. The case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
10/02/09 0143 hrs. Pidgeon Hill Dr. Sterling
Robbery: A customer was attempting to purchase gas at the Sunoco when he was approached by two unknown male subjects. One of the subjects removed a firearm from his waistband and took the victim’s wallet. The suspect that brandished the firearm was described as a Black male and was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, a dark baseball cap, blue jeans and was covering his face. He was approximately 5’9” tall with a thin build. The second subject was described as a tall skinny Black male with a dark colored hooded sweatshirt. He was covering his face and wearing sunglasses. He was described as being in his mid-20’s. The case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division.
