Clarke home values fall 30%

The average value of a sampling of single-family homes in Clarke County has dropped about 30 percent, according to a recently completed sales study. The study looked at fewer than 100 “good sales” in the county’s towns and residential developments, comparing those sales with the real estate values established in the last assessment, conducted in 2005 and enacted in 2006.
