Clarke high school leader poised to head state group

Now that the Clarke County High School junior has been elected president of the Virginia Distributive Education Clubs of America association, she’ll be perfecting her diplomatic pose and mapping grand plans before she assumes the top office in August. A panel of her peers — students from high school DECA chapters throughout Virginia — selected Emily at the State Leadership Conference in Norfolk March 13-15.
