Town crews will begin removing snow from downtown streets at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010. Town officials expect the snow removal process to take three days, continuing through Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday, snow removal will begin on North King Street at Cornwall Street and proceed south to Loudoun Street. West Market Street will be cleared next, starting at Wirt Street and proceeding east to King Street. Snow will be removed from both sides of the streets. Even though many roads are cleared, drivers should continue to use caution at intersections because of reduced visibility caused by high snow banks.
