				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Harrisonburg Police Department responded to the report of a female who was assaulted around 2:45 a.m. on February 4, 2011.</p>
<p>Police responded to the 1200 block of Old Furnace Road, where they found a female who had been assaulted.</p>
<p>As the victim was getting out of her vehicle, she was approached by an unknown person. The offender struck the victim and fled the scene.</p>
<p>The victim was taken to Rockingham Memorial Hospital and then transported to the University of Virginia Medical with serious injuries.</p>
<p>HPD continues to actively investigate this incident and follow-up on information received.</p>
<p>Anyone with additional information is asked to call Crime Solvers at 540-574-5050.Â  Crime Solvers is an anonymous tip line and callers could receive up to a $1,000 reward.</p>

invasion robbery.</p>
<p>At 3:30 a.m. officers responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Street for the report of an armed robbery.</p>
<p>The three male victims reported that three unknown males entered the residence, displayed a handgun, and took electronics and other items from their home.</p>
<p>Two victims were assaulted, one of which was transported to Rockingham Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.</p>
<p>One suspect is described as a tall skinny black male, who was wearing a gray<br />
sweatshirt.</p>
<p>Another suspect is described as a short, stocky black male, who was wearing a<br />
black sweatshirt with a hood.</p>
<p>The third suspect is described as a black male.</p>
<p>All three suspects had their faces partially covered.</p>
<p>HPD investigators are in the preliminary stages of this investigation.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Harrisonburg VA Sept. 17, 2010 &#8211; The Harrisonburg Police Department is investigating the death of a female that occurred in the 200 block of Vine Street.</p>
<p>Officers responded at 9:23 p.m. to the report of multiple shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers found a female in the parking lot, who was unresponsive.</p>
<p>Janet Bonilla, 25, of Harrisonburg was pronounced dead at the scene.</p>
<p>Investigators and officers are currently processing the crime scene, interviewing individuals in the area, and searching for evidence related to the crime.</p>
<p>The exact cause of death of Ms. Bonilla is pending an investigation by the Medical Examinerâ€™s Office.</p>
<p>â€œThis is a very tragic incident that has occurred,â€ said Lt. Kurt Boshart, Criminal Investigations Division Commander. â€œWe are utilizing all possible resources to determine the motive and identify the individuals involved.â€</p>
