Detectives have released the names of the suspects apprehended after the robbery at the Apple Federal Credit Union in Chantilly on Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Shona Jones, 21, of Rapidan, Virginia and Joshua Campbell, 26, of no fixed address, have each been charged with four counts of armed robbery in Fairfax County.
The Town of Vienna, Virginia Police Department has also brought charges against Jones and Campbell for robberies in that jurisdiction.

A taxi driver was robbed in the 2500 block of Schooley Drive on Friday, March 12. The victim, a 40-year-old man, was standing near his cab around 10 p.m. when a man approached on foot, brandished a handgun at him and demanded money. The victim resisted and a struggle took place. During the struggle, a round was discharged from the weapon but no one was injured. A 59-year-old West Springfield area man was charged with four counts of possession of child pornography. On Monday, March 1, Charles Duwain Dillon, of 6940 Spelman Drive, turned himself into police headquarters and was arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography. The evidence surfaced during the investigation initiated in 2009.

Police are investigating a third bank robbery believed to have been committed by the same suspect in less than two weeks. The latest robbery occurred on Tuesday, March 9 shortly after 5 p.m. A woman entered the BB&T Bank, at 5105 Westfields Boulevard in Centreville. She approached a teller and passed her a note, which implied that she had a weapon and demanded money. Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Tuesday, March 9 shortly after 11:30 a.m. A man entered the TD Bank, located at 6615 Richmond Highway, and approached a 22-year-old woman behind the counter. A 57-year-old Springfield-area man was charged with welfare fraud. On Tuesday, March 9, Luis Bascope, of 6315 Zekan Lane, turned himself into detectives and was arrested for allegedly defrauding the county Department of Family Services of over $23,000. Bascope was allegedly receiving financial assistance for child care from January of 2002 to December of 2007, for which he did not qualify. Bascope is an employee of the Fairfax County Public Schools.

Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday, March 6 around 11:20 a.m. A man entered the Cardinal Bank, at 10695 Braddock Road, near the intersection of Route 123, brandished a weapon and demanded money.
