Bull Run District Title Up For Grabs Tonight in Clarke County

Tonight the Clarke County Eagles will lay it on the line in their final regular season game as they face the Madison Mountaineers for what could be a three way tie for the district championship. The final three weeks of district play have created the perfect storm in the Bull Run District. Two weeks ago Clarke County lost their first regular season game in three years to Manassas Park. Last week the Eagles had a bye week but their opponent tonight took on Manssas Park and beat them 37-28. The Eagles are now in a position to enter a three way championship. If Clarke defeats Madison tonight and Manassas Park defeats 1-8 George Mason, the top three teams will each have a loss in district play and will be tied for the title. However, regardless of the outcome tonight, Clarke will continue into post season play in the Region B, Division 1 playoffs. The real question to be determined tonight is who their opponent will be in the first round of the playoffs and where they will play. If Clarke County wins tonight they will play the first round of the playoffs at home, if they lose they will be on the road.
