Boston Globe to Close in 60 Days
Boston, it appears, will be the first major American city to lose its daily newspaper: The Boston Globe will shut in 60 days, The New York Times Co. announced today. The decision comes on the heels of discussions well into the night. The New York Times Co. sought $20 million in concessions from union officials but an agreement wasn’t reached by the midnight deadline.
