Final Score – Appomattox defeats Clarke County 42-28

In an epic battle the Clarke County Eagles lost in the first round of the playoffs today to Appomattox. Clarke stopped Appomattox on the first drive of the game and scored the first points in their first possession but the remainder of the first half was dominated by the Raiders. In the second half the Eagles fought back to within one score but their hopes of a comeback were dashed by a quick Raider touchdown. In the end the Eagles lost 42-28 but can remain proud of an excellent regular season record and a great playoff appearance. Congratulations to both teams.
