Analysis: Virginia GOP Braces for Showdown

RICHMOND, Va. – Leaders of Virginia’s quarrelsome Republican Party have converged on Richmond to attempt what they’ve not tried in 16 years: ousting the state party’s chairman. Hoping to put its latest dispute behind in time for a must-win gubernatorial race this fall, the state GOP’s central committee meets at party headquarters Saturday to decide chairman Jeff Frederick’s future.
