$800M hybrid energy plant proposed for Loudoun

Leesburg Va-based Green Energy Partners wants to build an $800 million natural gas and solar plant that uses wastewater to help generate electricity. The privately held company announced Friday it is seeking permission to build a hybrid plant that includes a 600-megawatt combined cycle natural gas facility with a wastewater steam turbine generator, as well as two 150-megawatt peak power clean natural gas turbines and a 1-megawatt solar array.
