Cliff Keirce and Valdis G. Ronis to serve on Planning Commission
The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors has appointed Cliff Keirce and Valdis G. Ronis to serve on the Loudoun County Planning Commission.
Keirce will serve as the Dulles District representative, completing the term of Sandra Chaloux, which expires on December 31, 2011. Chaloux submitted her resignation to Dulles District Supervisor Stevens Miller, effective immediately. Ronis will serve as the Potomac District Supervisor, completing the term of Chris Brodrick, which expires on December 31, 2011. Brodrick submitted his resignation to Potomac District Supervisor Andrea McGimsey, effective February 1, 2010.
Keirce has served on the Broadlands Homeowners Association Board for more than ten years and is currently serving as President. He is also a member of the Loudoun Library Foundation Board. Keirce has a bachelor’s degree in atmospheric science from the University of Michigan and works as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration.
Ronis is a licensed architect and serves as managing principal of the Washington D.C. regional office of MulvannyG2 Architecture in McLean, Virginia. His professional memberships include the American Institute of Architects. Ronis graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies from the University of Nebraska, where he also earned a master’s degree in architecture and a master’s degree in business administration.
The Loudoun County Planning Commission is a nine-member advisory body appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Commission provides recommendations on issues concerning land development ordinances, comprehensive planning, future land use policies, and the Capital Improvements Program for the county.
The Commission also reviews a variety of land development applications, such as rezonings and special exceptions, and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for consideration in approving or denying the proposed projects.
