Police investigate string of burglaries and bicycle thefts

The Frederick Police Department has noticed an increase in bicycle thefts in the past several weeks, Capt. Kevin Grubb said. The bicycles are being taken from unlocked garages and sheds.
The burglaries are happening in the area of South Street up to Seventh Street and in the area of U.S. 15 to East Street, Cpl. Paul Beliveau said.
