Suspect said someone ‘had to die’

In the days before he allegedly killed his brother and former girlfriend, 24-year-old Justin Shane Slater reportedly believed the two were romantically linked, and told his father that someone “had to die,” according to a search warrant.

A week after that June 3 threat, he killed Kayleigh Marie Plamondon and hid her body in a West Virginia home, Slater told police, according to court documents.
