2 Loudon Valley Vikings Commit to Play Division I Lacrosse

Lacrosse_Signing_LVHS_web_pic_061LVHS Seniors Christopher Daddio and Garrett Swankowski made their intentions official recently when they signed letters of intent to continue their education and play collegiate lacrosse in front of family, friends and administrators during a ceremony at Loudoun Valley High School.

Daddio, a senior, is a two-time first team All-Cedar Run District midfielder as well as a two-time first team Northwest Region midfielder and two-time Washington Post All-Met honorable mention selection.

Next fall, he will be joining 11-time National Champion Syracuse Orangemen. Daddio is a three-year varsity starter. During his career with the Vikings, he has won 78 percent of face-offs, establishing him as one of the best face-off men in the state.

Swankowski is a two-time first team All-Cedar Run District defensemen and a two-time first team Northwest Region defensemen. He earned a 2009 Washington Post All-Met second team selection as well as All-American honors for his play during the 2009 season.

During the 2009 season, Swankowski amassed more than 50 takeaways and 68 ground balls. He will be taking his talents to Charlottesville, where he will play for the University of Virginia Cavaliers.
